Discuss an assessment

Our security services

Test the behaviour.
Review the implementation.

Choose the approach that fits your concerns and the access available. We’ll agree the boundaries before the assessment.

Penetration testing

An authorised assessment of the applications or systems agreed in scope, investigating security weaknesses and their potential impact.

When it can help

  • Before a launch or significant change
  • When an existing system needs assessment
  • When you need evidence to prioritise security work

Targets, testing depth, exclusions and operational constraints are defined for each engagement.

Security code review

A focused review of agreed source code to investigate security weaknesses in implementation and give developers actionable recommendations.

When it can help

  • Before releasing security-sensitive changes
  • When specific code paths need closer scrutiny
  • When you need guidance on fixing identified weaknesses

Codebase, review depth, supporting context and source access requirements are agreed in advance.

What you receive

A report your business
and developers can use.

Clear reporting connects technical findings to the decisions you need to make. Deliverables are confirmed as part of the scope.

Executive summary
An accessible account of the assessment, key findings and their business context.
Prioritised findings
Issues organised by assessed severity, with affected areas and relevant limitations explained.
Technical evidence
Supporting detail that helps your technical team understand and investigate each finding.
Remediation recommendations
Practical guidance to address findings and plan further work. Any retesting is agreed separately.

People behind the work

Senior expertise.
A practical perspective.

Our security work is backed by senior consultants with experience in penetration testing, security code review and kernel vulnerability research.

OSCPOSWEOSEP

Credentials across our senior security consultants include OSCP, OSWE and OSEP.

Kernel vulnerability research

Experience investigating vulnerabilities at the kernel level brings a deeper understanding of how software can fail, and how to approach its assessment.

The assessment process

Agreed boundaries.
Clear communication.

We discuss your priorities and constraints before testing or accessing source code.

  1. Scope and authorise

Agree the objectives, targets or codebase, exclusions, access, schedule and communication arrangements. Obtain explicit authorisation before testing.

  2. Assess and document

Investigate within the agreed boundaries and document findings with supporting evidence and context.

  3. Report and plan

Provide the agreed report and remediation recommendations. Discuss findings and define any follow-up or retesting separately.

Before you enquire

Do we need to know the exact scope already?

No. Start with the business need, the systems or code involved and any concerns. We can discuss the assessment boundaries before proposing the work.

Can we commission a review without development work?

Yes. Penetration testing and security code review can be commissioned as standalone engagements.

Is retesting included?

Retesting is agreed separately, including what will be checked and when. We make that distinction clear when defining the engagement.

Should we email source code or credentials?

Please send only a high-level outline initially. We’ll agree the access requirements and a suitable way to share confidential information before the work starts.

Your next step

Discuss a security assessment.

Tell us whether you need penetration testing or security code review, the broad scope and your intended timeframe.
